Rifguard 400 mg Tablet contains Rifaximin, an antibiotic that treats infections in the gut by targeting harmful bacteria. It is commonly used to manage traveler's diarrhea, hepatic encephalopathy (a brain disorder caused by liver disease), and irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea (IBS-D). Its action prevents the growth of bacteria by blocking bacterial protein synthesis

Uses: 
Traveler's diarrhea: Caused by non-invasive strains of E. coli.
Hepatic encephalopathy: To reduce the risk of recurring brain function impairment due to liver dysfunction.
IBS with diarrhea (IBS-D): To alleviate abdominal pain and diarrhea in patients
